Tataki fishing is a Japanese technique for cephalopod fishing which consists in "whipping" small silicone baits of various colors, mounted in series on a rig. Starting from here, Italcanna has reviewed the equipment needed for this technique, adapting it to the best for our seas and our preys. Thus was born the Tataki Squid SJ, a rod around 2 m that is very manageable, light and sensitive, which allows this technique to be expressed in the best possible way. Thanks to these characteristics and in combination with a rotating reel it is possible to keep the sensitivity on the baits constant, in particular during the descent towards the bottom, as many times the attacks of the squid take place in this phase, therefore in the most difficult moment to perceive, and only a rod with these characteristics will allow to warn them, at this point thanks to the rotating reel it will be easy to block the reel with a finger and immediately start the recovery. However, the rod is also offered in a fixed spool reel version.
